Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School was another smashing success!! This year, we went to Outrigger Island. The VBS kids learned to know, speak and live God's truth - and it was all done aloha style. They also participated in learning some really cool songs, crafts and games, and along with the super beach style snacks, they learned alot and had lots of fun in our Hawaiian paradise! Tuesday was our high-attendance day with 73 kids present!

Outrigger Island is based on Psalm 86:11 which means that Outrigger Island is more than a tropical paradise. It's the place where kids will develop the stability they need to face a world of shifting sands and wavering opinions.

Our VBS Program was held Sunday morning, August 3rd as part of our regular morning worship service. The classes made their presentations, sang the songs they learned and certificates were handed out. All families who came to the program with their children are encouraged to return to worship with us.

Helping at Vacation Bible School this year was the "E-Team." The E-Team is a group of college students who minister within the SBC at various churches for the summer.

This year's team was made up of four young ladies who came together to serve Christ this summer. Samantha is a Math Education major at Greenville College. Sarah is the group leader and is a Psychology major at SIU Carbondale. Carrie is an Elementary Education major at Judson University and Heather is a Music Education major also at Judson University.

We would like to thank the E-Team for their service and help this summer!
